Sweet Surprise.

When I got home from work on Friday, headachey and wiped out from a long week, I found a box addressed to me.  I wasted no time opening it – my family will attest that I didn’t even take off my coat before grabbing the scissors.

Inside, in addition to an array of deliciously edible items that never made it to the photo shoot, was a masterpiece:

My photography doesn’t begin to do it justice.  It’s a decadent wool/silk scarf, woven by Ms. Joan on her rigid heddle loom.   It is cuddly soft, and the colors sing to me.

I also found this lovely tapestry-style photo album and a card worthy of framing.

What better way to start the weekend than feeling the care and kindness of a friend?
